Okay girls...open your Bibles to the Book of Psalms...
Take the challenge: Read through the Book of Psalms with us!
God will reveal Himself to us as well as show us how to respond to Him.
Here's how we will approach the book.
First, we'll read one psalm per week in a couple of translations.
Next, we'll discover it by looking for all of the good stuff in it!
(emotions, how the writer describes God, what we learn about God,
any confusing or repetitive words or ideas, how it relates to our life
experiences...)
Finally, we fill write our own psalm to God. It might look somewhat like the psalm or completely different. We're just going to be honest with our God.
This is very close to the way Beth Moore teaches how to study the psalms of Ascent so I want to give her credit!
It would be really cool if we used the comment section to share our journey through the psalms.

ok Psalms is definitely my favorite book of the Bible! i love it so much because you get to read about the life of the man God calls "a man after God's own heart". basically David is an awesome Christian who has a heart just on fire for God. In each Psalm, when i read through them, i found so many things that i could relate to. Funny thing is like 2000 years later i can still relate to what David was going through. I SO encourage everyone to read through the Psalms and take one a day. God will show you so much if you are willing.
